Bobby Long, a tournament bass angler from Greenville, SC, has been fishing all his life. From fishing for bluegill off the dock to chasing the big bass on tournament day, Bobby loves all fishing.

Fishing was started at a young age for Bobby with deep family roots to blame. Bobby's grandfather and uncle were striper guides on Lake Hartwell and lived on the lake so most weekends from the time he was able to hold a rod, you could find him fishing.

The bass fishing bug didn't hit until he was in middle school. Shortly after, at the age of 12, Bobby got his first boat and started fishing by himself. Soon after he met a teacher at his middle school who had the same bass fishing passion and they came together and started a bass fishing club that allowed Bobby to fish his first tournament on May 16th, 2015 at Lake Wylie.

After fishing in middle school, Bobby went on to start a team with other students interested at his high school. Throughout high school Bobby fished at both Wade Hampton and Travelers Rest High School. High school fishing allowed Bobby to learn more as an angler and become better throughout his 4 years of high school fishing. During his senior year, Bobby received several college scholarship offers for bass fishing and went on to commit to Lander University in Spring 2019.

It was in college at Lander University where Bobby began finding success along with his longtime fishing partner and friend, Whit. In their first college tournament together they earned a top 5 and check. Throughout college Bobby and his partners had many accomplishments including 3 national championships (one at BASS and two at ACA), several top 10 finishes and checks, top AOY finishes (2nd in SC BASS Nation, 4th in Clemson University Trail, 12th in Bassmaster College Series), wins and big fish awards.

Bobby currently works on Lake Hartwell installing boat lifts and fishes the MLF Bass Fishing League and local tournaments with plans of moving up to the Toyota Series or BASS Opens in the next few years.
